Connie has over 25 years of experience as a marketing professional, often using her
writing talents to turn complex topics into clear stories. Examples include co-authoring
numerous business white papers with senior executives that translated their technology
offerings into understandable business value, as well as creating the 1996 Olympic Games Brand Manual. 
 

Connie's Inspiration
She was inspired to write final life stories for people based on her experience with her mother and her friend’s brother. Connie’s mother was rarely critical of others or situations, but she remembered her feeling disappointed over a brother’s obituary because of mistakes and omissions. She wanted to prevent that from happening to her mother, so one Christmas, she gave both her sister and her mother drafts of their own life stories, letting them decide how they wanted their final stories told.

 

From her personal experience, she found it to be a great relief to have it already prepared when she was going through the dying process with her mother five years later. It was comforting to know her story included everything that mattered most to her, told in her preferred tone and style.

Later, she wrote a life story for her friend’s brother as he neared the end of his life. She, along with close friends, was so pleased with how the story captured his life in a meaningful way that they encouraged her to offer her services to others.
